CLEVELAND — If there is any justice in the hoops world, the Toledo women’s basketball team — winners of more games this season than all but three schools in the nation — will receive an invitation to the NCAA tournament.
Unfortunately, Friday felt like a bad-news-bad-news kind of day.
First, the bad news: The Rockets came up just short in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament, falling to Ball State, 71-66.
Now, more bad news: The bracketologists have them coming up short on Selection Sunday, too.
