If you’re a Toledo men’s basketball fan, you don’t know whether to laugh or cry anymore.
Another season of great accomplishment gave way to another March of greater heartache on Thursday in a 67-59 loss to Kent State that was as stunning as it was predictable for generations of longing supporters.
Four straight years, the Rockets came to the Mid-American Conference tournament flying high as the outright league champions. Four straight years — to say nothing of the four preceding decades — they thudded back to earth.
