Five days after the back-to-back Mid-American Conference champions had their dreams detoured by another confounding loss in the league tournament, the Rockets went out quietly in a 74-55 loss to Dayton in the first round of the NIT.
What happened?
How little time do you have? The Flyers are really big and really good — they didn’t beat Kansas, just miss the NCAA tournament, or inspire a thousand or so fans in red to make the trip to Savage Arena for nothing — and Toledo couldn’t hit the broad side of anything.
