With an All-American lineage and three seasons of Big Ten football to his name, Judge Culpepper might have felt too cool for school when he transferred to Toledo last year.
But that’s not him.
For one, the senior defensive tackle is a good guy who happens to like school. (The philosophy major got straight A’s in high school.)
For another, he would have had no room to talk.
When he arrived from Penn State, he knew well that — never mind the difference in recruiting stars — his new teammates on the Toledo defensive line could hold their own against anybody.
