The Bowling Green women never trailed rival Toledo in a Saturday afternoon clash between the Mid-American Conference rivals as the Falcons snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Rockets with a 69-57 road win at Savage Arena.
Bowling Green used a stifling defense to force 15 first-half turnovers to build a 41-25 lead at halftime.
The Falcons (9-3, 5-2 MAC) never looked back in getting the program's first win over Toledo (7-4, 3-4) since Feb. 2, 2014.
Bowling Green led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter and expanded that cushion to 16 points by outscoring the Rockets 21-12 in the second quarter.
