After he tied a single-season school record with 60 blocked shots last season, University of Toledo junior center Luke Knapke is well on his way to becoming the all-time leader in career blocks for the Rockets.
Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk fully expects him to break the all-time mark of 155 set by Nathan Boothe — he just doesn’t expect that record to stand for long.
That’s because freshman center AJ Edu is quickly showing off his own shot-blocking prowess. In just 13.4 minutes per game, Edu has a Mid-American Conference-leading 41 blocks, and is second in the nation in blocks per minute.
