PITTSBURGH — Toledo’s fourth-quarter rally fell short as the Rockets lost a women’s basketball game to Duquesne 79-74 on Saturday night.
The Rockets (2-5) outscored the Dukes 25-18 in the final quarter. Nakiah Black led Toledo with 20 points and seven rebounds. Mariella Santucci had 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Soleil Barnes came off the bench to score 10 points.
Amanda Kalin led Duquesne with 20 points, while Libby Baselak had 17 points.
The Rockets shot 48.1 percent from the floor (26-of-54), and 31.6 percent from 3-point range (6-of-19). They were 16-of-20 from the free-throw line.
