There’s no secret as to who holds the keys to Toledo’s football season: Tucker Gleason.
Fair or not, the pressure is on for the fifth-year junior. That’s life for a quarterback, the most scrutinized (and important) position in all of sports.
But Gleason is not in unfamiliar territory. He was a coveted recruit in high school, matriculated to Georgia Tech, and then came to Toledo, where he’s delivered remarkable comeback performances not once but twice. The difference now is that Gleason is the starter.
Life as a backup is different. At the top of the list is popularity.
