As Toledo and Bowling Green prepare for the 84th edition of the Battle of I-75 rivalry, where the series history is separated by just one win, both teams are well aware of the recent history: The Rockets have topped the Falcons nine straight times.
With a noon kickoff at Doyt Perry Stadium upcoming Saturday, Toledo will look to stretch the streak to double digits, while Bowling Green is looking for an elusive breakthrough.
“Each senior class doesn't want to leave being the team that lost to the team down south,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said. “I'm sure their senior class doesn't want to be the class that didn't beat Toledo.
