Barstool Sportsbook will pay a $250,000 fine for advertising on the University of Toledo's campus during the week of the Bowling Green game in November and for targeting customers younger than age 21.
During a meeting with the Ohio Casino Control Commission on Wednesday, Barstool chief compliance officer Chris Soriano said, “In this matter we fell short of the mark. We accept responsibility for that.”
The Barstool Tailgate Show aired live outside the Glass Bowl on Nov. 15.
DraftKings also was punished by the commission on Wednesday for mailing advertisements to people younger than 21, not having a message about problem gambling, and advertising “free” or “risk-free” bets.
