Middle Tennessee capped a 14-play, 80-yard scoring drive with a six-yard pass from quarterback Nicholas Vattiato to Yusuf Ali. The Blue Raiders converted one third down and UT had a penalty on another, extending MTSU’s possession.
Middle Tennessee leads 7-0.
Toledo kicker Thomas Cluckey missed a 35-yard field goal wide left, the direction of the gusty sea breeze.
