The University of Toledo football team is coming off one of its most successful seasons in program history. The Rockets broke a long Mid-American Conference title drought, claiming their first conference championship since 2004.
Toledo finished 11-3 and topped Akron 45-28 in the MAC title game, but finished the season on a sour note in a 34-0 loss to Appalachian State in the Dollar General Bowl. It was the second straight season that Toledo lost to the Mountaineers in a bowl game after a 2016 defeat in the Camellia Bowl.
Toledo quarterback Logan Woodside put up prolific numbers again in 2017 after his record-setting single-season in 2016.
