Teams that win enter the offseason with a bounce in their step and optimism for the following year. The losing team has some second-guessing and a general air of malaise.
Despite winning 11 consecutive games in 2023, Toledo fits into that second category. That’s not to say the program isn’t on solid footing after winning the Mid-American Conference West the past two seasons. The Rockets’ last-second loss to Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl is just going to sting for a few weeks — or months.
