WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — It’s deja vu all over again for the Toledo Rockets.
One year ago, UT took a bus ride home from Morgantown, W.V., with a 6-6 record and questions hanging over the team as the Mid-American Conference schedule loomed.
A virtually identical situation has unfolded in 2024 — 6-6 record, questions, MAC play begins Saturday. The only difference is Toledo’s bus ride examination took place returning from West Lafayette, Ind., where No. 21 Purdue beat the Rockets 83-64 Sunday night.
“I feel like we competed,” sophomore forward Javan Simmons said. “But we had a couple of stretches where we let them down.
