KALAMAZOO, Mich. — If you are a University of Toledo football fan, by now you’ve seen the trick play that handed the Rockets a stunning 41-38 loss at the hands of Western Michigan.
Toledo led by 10, 38-28, with less than three minutes to play. But after a quick score from the Broncos and a recovered onside kick, WMU quarterback Kaleb Eleby completed passes of 11, 13, and 18 yards to get down to the Toledo 9-yard line. The Broncos pulled ahead on a trick play, as Eleby faked a spike and found a wide-open Jaylen Hall in the end zone with 17 seconds left to play.
