When Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk looked over his team's schedule, the stretch the Rockets just went through stood out.
It was a stretch he knew would be tough, including five road games in the team's past six games. That being said, he most likely would not have predicted his team would go into its first Mid-American Conference home game on a five-game losing streak.
Four of those five teams Toledo lost to have a KenPom ranking of 107 or higher — Kent State (94), Bradley (102), Ball State (104), and Wright State (107). The head-scratcher was the Rockets loss at Kansas City, which is ranked by KenPom as 249th out of 353 Division I teams.
