Ginny Boggess didn’t need a wake-up call on Tuesday.
She estimated that she was awake by 4:48 a.m. painting her nails, unable to sleep.
The cause was the time change…and her debut as the University of Toledo women’s basketball coach.
“Eagerness would be the word,” Boggess said. “I’m all about the preparation, so getting the feedback of what we can work on and where we need to go from here was really important. I’m excited.”
How could she not be? The Rockets overcame a 16-point deficit to beat Marshall 71-68 in a thrilling introduction for Boggess.
