NASSAU, Bahamas — Final preparations for Monday’s game against Charlotte began on Sunday night for Tod Kowalczyk.
The Toledo men’s basketball coach was in bed by 9 p.m. During the season, Kowalczyk is strict about his sleep regimen, ensuring that he gets to sleep before 10 p.m. the night before a game.
“He’s pretty chill,” wife Julie says. “We usually have a family meal and just hang out at home.”
Kowalczyk’s iPhone alarm is set for 7 a.m., but he’s awake before the ringer buzzes.
Welcome to a day in the life of a college basketball coach.
