With the University of Toledo set to face Appalachian State on Saturday in the Dollar General Bowl, here is a look at three players to watch for the Mountaineers:
1. Taylor Lamb, senior quarterback: Lamb earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors this season after passing for 2,606 yards and 27 touchdowns. What makes Lamb so dangerous is his ability to run the ball and extend plays outside the pocket. Lamb is the team’s second-leading rusher this season with 539 yards and five touchdowns. Last year against Toledo in the Camellia Bowl, Lamb passed for 119 yards and a touchdown.
