As the University of Toledo football team opens spring practice there are plenty of storylines that will play out over the next month and leading into fall camp.
Here are three reasons to pay attention to Toledo spring practices:
1) To see who gets the leg up at the starting quarterback spot: Logan Woodside left Toledo as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns. As Woodside prepares for a potential NFL career, two of his understudies will take the first steps toward winning the job to replace Woodside. Junior Mitch Guadagni and sophomore Eli Peters are the names to know, but head coach Jason Candle said the two freshmen – Carter Bradley and Cross Wilkinson – could be added to the mix this summer when they arrive on campus.
