With the University of Toledo football team’s 45-28 win over Akron on Saturday, the Rockets claimed their first Mid-American Conference title since 2004. Here are three takeaways from the game:

1) Toledo offense was balanced: UT senior quarterback Logan Woodside turned in a good performance, throwing for 307 yards and four touchdowns. He threw two TDs to Diontae Johnson, one to Jon’Vea Johnson, and one to Shakif Seymour out of the backfield. With the passing game clicking, the running game also got going with senior running back Terry Swanson carrying 21 times for 180 yards and two TDs.
