BOWLING GREEN — University of Toledo women’s basketball defeated rival Bowling Green State University on Saturday.
The Rockets had suffered their first Mid-American Conference loss Wednesday to Ohio University. Toledo was able to bounce back Saturday at the Stroh Center to improve to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in the conference with the 71-67 victory.
Toledo remained in first place in the MAC standings with the win. The Rockets have a 2 1/2-game lead over Western Michigan, Buffalo, and Akron.
