On Thursday night at Purcell Pavilion, University of Toledo had a win at Notre Dame all but wrapped up, bow and all, but ended up falling 64-62 in overtime.
In a game with both teams struggling to score, the Rockets found themselves up 52-45 with four minutes left. But turnovers and missed free throws allowed Notre Dame to force overtime.
In overtime, Notre Dame made enough plays to get the win.
"This one hurts," Kowalczyk said."I'm unbelievably disappointed we didn't win the game. I'm not disappointed by our players' preparation or by how hard we played.
