LAWRENCE, Kan. — With a 5-2 record that looks shiny on the surface, Texas Tech prefers to think it’s closer to the top of the Big 12 football hierarchy than the bottom.
The Red Raiders need to think again if the listless performance they gave in squeezing past Kansas 30-20 is any indication. On a Saturday afternoon that was a Norman Rockwell painting for college football — crisp, cool and sunny with a hilly, leafy backdrop — Tech’s play failed to match the setting.
The Red Raiders did just enough to beat probably the weakest team in a power-five conference.
