Best-case scenario: Junior quarterback Patrick Mahomes begins the season leading the Big 12 in passing over the first few weeks of the season. Mahomes eventually finding himself at 6-0 when Oklahoma comes into town will be a chance for the nation to see a battle between him and Baker Mayfield, because ESPN College GameDay could come to Lubbock for the show.
