On Sunday, Texas Tech Athletic Director and College Football Playoff Committee Chair, Kirby Hocutt, addressed the media following Tech's 5-7 season.
Hocutt opened the press conference with a statement regarding the season.
"Being here this afternoon, obviously, when your football season ends in November, it's not a good thing," Hocutt said. "Very disappointed with our performance this football season. That being said, I have a great amount of respect for the young men on this football team with what they do each and every week. It's not easy being a student-athlete."
He followed his comments on the team by acknowledging the state of head coach Kliff Kingsbury's job.
