Texas Tech lost to Kansas State 42-35 in overtime on Saturday, but had a chance to win the game in regulation.
The Wildcats tied the game at 35-35 with 42 seconds left to play. The Red Raiders also had one timeout at their disposal.
But head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Red Raiders elected to run the clock out and take the game into overtime, where Kansas State prevailed.
"Yeah, you know, 42 seconds left and only one timeout, and [we] really weren't feeling confident in our kicking game at all," Kingsbury said after the game.
