After a crazy offseason that was highlighted by the battle at the quarterback position, Tyler Shough was named the starter over Henry Colombi and will lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders against the Houston Cougars.
Shough transferred to Tech in the middle of February from Oregon. Last season he had a 63.5% completion percentage and threw 13 touchdowns for the Ducks.
He beat out Henry Colombi, who appeared in six games for the Red Raiders. While he managed to step in and keep the offense afloat, you could tell while watching that it just wasn’t going to reach its full potential with the playmakers that the offense has.
