A Texas Tech signee earned one more postseason honor before he steps on campus.
Trinity Valley Community College’s Hyron Edwards was named an NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American on Thursday.
Edwards, a sophomore who inked with the Red Raiders during the November signing period, averaged 17.8 points, 4.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game last season.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound guard also shot 88 percent from the free-throw line, 42 percent from the field and 36 percent from the 3-point line.
The Cardinals finished the season 24-7 overall and 15-4 in conference play.
