The Red Raiders are a few days away from their first game of the season, and they were hit by an important news on Tuesday, as sophomore wide receiver T.J. Vasher was named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List.
This award annually goes to the best FBS offensive player who has some ties with the state of Texas and, quoting from the official website “who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity.”
The award was issued in 2012 and the five former winners are Brice Petty (QB, Baylor, 2013), Trevone Boykin (QB, TCU, 2014), Greg Ward Jr.
