Three takeaways: No. 6 West Virginia’s pressure ultimately breaks Texas Tech

LUBBOCK -- Here are three takeaways from Texas Tech's loss to No. 6 West Virginia.

1. Different school - same pressure

The Mountaineers' fast-paced, full-court attack overshadowed the loss of sophomore center Norense Odiase. Texas Tech dropped its third game in Big 12 play, losing 64-56 to West Virginia after playing an up-and-down contest, even leading at halftime.

Odiase's affect on the outcome is debatable, but at 6-foot-9, 260 pounds he would have been the largest player on the court from either team and tasked with simply keeping up.

West Virginia's pressure created 12 extra points off turnovers, including the final pair of fastbreak dunks that ultimately decided the game.
