Three reasons to believe Texas Tech will beat Oklahoma State

The last time Texas Tech beat Oklahoma State, George W. Bush was still in office. Since then, the program has seen three different head coaches, eight different defensive coordinators and nine different starting quarterbacks.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State has been on a much different trajectory under head coach Mike Gundy. In the past nine seasons, the Cowboys have compiled a 90-27 overall record becoming an annual conference title contender.

The winner today will break a 21-21-3 tie in the overall series which dates back to 1935. And as the current OSU dominance suggests, this has been a series characterized by long periods of domination on both sides.
