Today is President’s Day though according to the USA Today “the point of it — beyond, for some Americans, a day off or retail sales — is debated.” Whatever the reason the government has decided to name the third Monday in February as national holiday matters little to most.
But today is a perfect day for a fun exercise in thinking about some of the greats in Texas Tech sports history. Since our country’s biggest monument to the office of President is Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, we will spend today creating mythical Mount Rushmores in various aspects of Texas Tech athletics.
