Gerald Myers turns 83 in August, which must be a typo. Says here he hasn't coached basketball at Texas Tech since 1991. That can't be right, either. A bio makes it sound as if he's simply the guy who hired Bob Knight and Mike Leach and then fired Mike Leach. Anyone who knows Myers knows that hoops came first and last. Which is why he was in New York this week at the NIT, watching basketball.
