The Big 12 had a rough 2017 NFL draft last year, when the conference had their lowest number of players selected ever with just 14.
The Big 12 did a little better in this year's NFL draft, with 20 players selected, including Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield as the No. 1 overall pick to the Cleveland Browns. The former Heisman winner is the conference's 81st first round pick ever, and was the only first rounder for the Big 12 this year.
But the Big 12 still had the fewest players drafted of all the Power Five conferences.
Here's a breakdown of how the Big 12 fared:
Texas | 4 picks |
Oklahoma | 4 picks |
Oklahoma St | 4 picks |
TCU | 3 picks |
Kansas | 1 picks |
West Virginia | 1 picks |
Kansas St | 1 picks |
The Texas Longhorns had the most players drafted overall from the state of Texas with four, including Connor Williams going to the Cowboys in the second round.
