Texas Tech's 63-37 loss to Oklahoma not indicative of its potential

NORMAN, Okla. – Right about the time Samaje Perine rushed for this fourth touchdown of the day, the social media experts – formerly known as armchair quarterbacks – had given up on the Red Raiders.

The verdict was loud – or as loud as a tweet can get – and clear.

Texas Tech wasn’t going to win another game thanks to its porous defense.

The season was lost. Oklahoma had proved that in its 63-27 win Saturday at Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium.

There would be no bowl game and Kliff Kingsbury would soon be on the hot seat.
