The Texas Tech Red Raiders have a quarterback battle going on as the September 5 season opener against Sam Houston looms, and one man in particular has an idea of who could wind up emerging as the starter.
Texas Tech beat writer Don Williams, of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, believes that sophomore Patrick Mahomes will “get the nod” over junior Davis Webb, who missed the last four games of the 2014 season with a shoulder injury.
