On Saturday afternoon Texas Tech will face off against No. 12 Oklahoma State for the 42nd time since 1935. A lot has changed since those days, Texas Technological College is now known as Texas Tech University, and Oklahoma A&M has since become Oklahoma State University. However, both schools employ a variation of the air raidoffense that has become synonymous with the Big XII Conference, both are regarded as a “little brother” of sorts to their in-state rival, and both share similar traditions and western-styled mascots.
That being said, it’s no surprise these two teams combine for fireworks and explosive offense every time they meet.
