History would not repeat itself on Wednesday night as Devaugntah Williams hit the game-winning layup with one second remaining to seal Texas Tech’s overtime victory against Oklahoma State.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a typical Texas Tech victory without the added stress-inducing drama of late fouls, questionable calls, and most importantly; overtime.
That being said, Texas Tech’s late-game issues may actually have contributed to Tubby Smith’s side being the seemingly more poised and in control team as the game progressed.
The Red Raiders were down 31-23 at halftime, but stormed back in the second half behind Aaron Ross’ career-high 22 points off the bench and a barrage of three-pointers from senior Toddrick Gotcher.
