Texas Tech secured an upset victory over No. 11 Iowa State with a late go-ahead touchdown on Saturday, winning by the final score of 23-22.
The Red Raiders improved to 6-3 while handing the Cyclones their first loss of the season.
With Texas Tech trailing by five points and less than 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, running back Tahj Brooks found the end zone on a five-yard rush.
While the two-point conversion was unsuccessful, head coach Joey McGuire's team was able to prevent Iowa State from scoring on the ensuing drive to earn the win.
