After suffering a high-ankle sprain in the first quarter of a season-opening loss to Ole Miss, starting quarterback McLane Carter was listed as a game-time decision for Texas Tech's home opener against Lamar.
Carter didn't play in Week 2, although that may have partially been due to the quality of the opponent as the Red Raiders beat Lamar 77-0 without their starting quarterback and running back.
In his weekly Big 12 teleconference on Monday, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said the team will reevaluate Carter on Tuesday.
"Players off today, so we'll take a look at him tomorrow, kind of see where he's at and kind of make our decision from there," Kingsbury said.
