ARLINGTON -- Texas Tech coach Matt Wells said quarterback Alan Bowman was "completely cleared, healthy" after suffering a collapsed lung down the stretch last season. Bowman completed spring practice in April, and will be key to the Red Raiders' success in Wells' first season in Lubbock.
As a true freshman last season, Bowman finished with 2,638 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions in eight games. Texas Tech went 4-4 in games Bowman played.
"I'm looking forward to coaching Alan these next three years," Wells said. "He's a football junky. He's passionate about what he does. I respect his grind.
