Texas Tech will be without McLane Carter for a considerable portion of spring football.
The senior quarterback recently underwent surgery on the injured ankle that derailed most of his junior season, first-year head coach Matt Wells told reporters Sunday. A best-scenario would place Carter back on the field for the last two weeks of practices leading up to the April 13 spring game at The Star in Frisco.
