About four days four days after recurring a partially collapsed lung against Oklahoma, Texas Tech starting quarterback Alan Bowman has been released from the hospital and will rejoin team activities on Thursday, the university announced.

It's unknown if Bowman will be available for the Red Raiders game against Texas on Saturday.

Bowman initially suffered a partially collapsed lung against West Virginia on Sept. 29. Bowman returned to play on Oct. 20 against Kansas and played the following week against Iowa State before suffering the same injury in the first half against Oklahoma on Saturday.

It didn't seem like Bowman was going to see the field in his freshman season, but an injury to starter McLane Carter opened the door for him.
