2015 recap: Head coach Kliff Kingsbury left many to speculate who would start at quarterback for the Red Raiders entering the season. Mahomes emerged as the main signal-caller after throwing for 425 yards and four touchdowns in Texas Tech's opening victory against Sam Houston State. The Red Raiders thrived offensively with Mahomes leading the way. Compared to other FBS programs across the nation, Texas Tech's offense ranked fourth in total and passing yards and second in passing yards per game.
