Offensive success is rarely a concern for the Red Raiders as Texas Tech averaged at least 30 points or more in each of its previous three seasons, including 45 points per game last season, which trailed only Baylor in FBS play. But the Red Raiders' defense allowed 47 points per game in Big 12 Conference play last season, adversely affecting the team's ability to compete in the conference standings.
