It was a huge weekend for Texas Tech on the recruiting trail.
The Red Raiders picked up their third commitment of the weekend as three-star Austin Bowie defensive lineman Cooper Laake gave Kliff Kingsbury and company a verbal pledge.
Laake committed to Texas Tech over offers from Colorado State, Houston, Oregon, Purdue, Rice, Texas State and Tulsa.
At 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, Laake is ranked as the No. 109 defensive tackle in the country and No. 222 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite.
Texas Tech now has 19 commits in its 2019 class, which ranks fifth in the Big 12.
