Texas Tech men's track and field wins NCAA national title, Red Raiders' first in history for any men's sport

For the first time in school history, Texas Tech has captured a men's national championship.

The Red Raiders men's outdoor track and field captured the NCAA national title Friday in Austin, posting 60 points in the meet to bring home only the second national championship for any team in school history since the university established its athletic program in 1925.

Divine Oduduru took home titles in both the 100 and 200 meters with respective times of 9.86 and 19.73 seconds, the latter of which broke the NCAA Championship record and both the second-fastest all-time mark in the respective events at the collegiate level.
