MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Ryan Moseley had his worst performance of the season at the most inopportune time.
West Virginia scored six runs in the first three innings en route to a 6-4 victory over Texas Tech in Thursday’s series opener at Monongalia County Ballpark.
The loss was issued to Texas Tech starter Ryan Moseley (4-6), who gave up six runs, three earned, on six hits with one strikeout and three walks in 2 2/3 innings.
Now, the Red Raiders (29-21, 12-10 Big 12) are in win or else mode as they try to make the NCAA tournament for the second straight season under coach Tim Tadlock.
