San Angelo Central quarterback Maverick McIvor backed out of his verbal commitment to the Red Raiders this weekend.
He announced his decision via Twitter.
A three-star prospect, McIvor is the first recruit to decommit from Texas Tech since the firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
McIvor originally committed to Texas Tech in June over offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Iowa, North Carolina, Ole Miss, USC and others.
